For full service clients we provide a flat fee pricing structure once the scope of work has been established.

The timeline for a project depends on its size and complexity. New home construction can take a couple years start to finish while a whole home renovation can take up to a year to complete, design and construction included. The design phase needs to be completed well before construction begins so the contracting partners can plan accordingly - scheduling their trades and ordering materials in advance in order to stick to a realistic timeline. Decorating projects take approx 6 months to complete.

Client involvement is important up front so we can understand each homeowners needs and lifestyle. Once the intake process is complete we work on each project with our talented team of designers allowing homeowners to go about their lives. We keep our clients informed throughout the design process while understanding how busy they are.

Client satisfaction is our top priority. If there are any aspects of the design that homeowners are not happy with we allow for one revision per room. We welcome client feedback to ensure the final design is beyond expectation.

We can work with your contractor or can refer contractors we have worked with and trust. KBD will complete all aspects of the design and provide all construction drawings and specification packages to the contracting partners so they can execute the design details. Contractors and trades are hired via the homeowners and will be managed by the contracting firms project manager. We are in communication with the trades during the construction phase; we do not manage the trades work or schedules.

We understand that clients may have pieces they love and want to keep. We are happy to incorporate existing furniture into the new design if we feel it can work. We often reimagine existing pieces our clients love ensuring that everything works together to give our clients a magazine worthy home.
